Swarovski uses FireStart BPM Suite as a new workflow platform for collaborative processes where high flexibility and interaction between users play a central role.

Human Centric Workflows at Its Best

Founded in 1895, Swarovski is an international company that designs, manufactures and markets crystals, gemstones, as well as finished products such as jewelry and accessories, beauty products and lighting. The diverse company portfolio also comprises precision optical instruments such as telescopes and binoculars, grinding, drilling and sawing tools, and industrial lighting. Swarovski has more than 2,680 shops in 170 countries and over 26,000 employees.

Previously, Swarovski used to have several different workflow systems in place, which often led to duplicate data management and thus inefficiency. Furthermore, the multiple front-end systems requiring various login data were associated with high personnel training and support costs.

After the implementation of FireStart, the process modeling interface gave managers the ability to model and present business processes in an easy and user-friendly way. FireStart’s seamless and flexible integration into Microsoft SharePoint, Outlook, SAP, and various other systems, including SAP Fiori has allowed Swarovski to dramatically increase efficiency and reduce cycle times, enabling users to model, manage and analyze processes even on mobile.

The FireStart BPM Suite provides all necessary functions for our strategic and operational processes out-of-the-box in order to model, control and run them throughout the whole cycle, supported by IT,
