With our newly refined setup, you’ll be notified during installation if something important is missing – like the .Net Framework for example – and the setup will even provide you with download links for whatever you’re missing.
This new setup allows you to install different components in a distributed environment more easily. As an example, this enables you to install the remote event receiver or identity server on different servers, even though you’re using the same setup file.
We beefed up the performance of our execution logs in 2020.1, particularly those large logs with many loop instances. What does this mean for you?
Well, the increased performance results in logs that are significantly easier to manage. You can now open the entire workflow log to see a full picture of your workflow’s performance, allowing you to better analyze and improve upon it.
Moreover, the execution log now also shows the operation numbers of individual log entries for specific elements in the workflow so that you can easier track the steps the workflow has taken.
In combination with the new loop instances view below, better execution logs give you a full view of your workflow in both the Client and the Process Portal, because they both show the same workflow log.
Before 2020.1, you could only view loop instances in the FireStart Client, but now this feature is also available in the Process Portal. It’s easy to find too. All you have to do is open the workflow execution to see the first instance, and then use the controls to scroll through all other instances.
Being able to view, track, and analyze loop instances in the process portal increases transparency in your organization, but it also makes it easier for you to check those logs when you’re on the go. Because the Process Portal is fully responsive, you can check the loop instances on your mobile device or tablet – quick and easy!
Lastly, you can now decide if you want to receive FireStart notifications by e-mail thanks to our new plugin. What kinds of notifications, you ask? Well, that’s up to you. You can choose to receive notifications for Activities, Workflows, Tasks, Processes, Failures and more.
Setting up e-mail notifications keeps you plugged in to your FireStart workflows and allows you to stay up-to-date even when you’re on the go. Did you get an e-mail letting you know something failed? Check out what happened on the Process Portal using your mobile device.
Are you only responsible for certain aspects of a workflow, a particular Activity for example? Set up notifications for Activities so that you get the precise information you need to do your best work.
