Ekey is the European market leader in fingerprint access solutions, enabling over 1 million end customers across the globe to access their homes and offices via state-of-the-art fingerprint identification technology, based in Linz, Austria.
All of 100 employees in Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein/Switzerland, Italy, and Slovenia – working in tandem, exporting products like fingerprint scanners to over 70 countries. With such a huge operation, there is a need for efficient, scalable processes. Through FireStart, they found innovation that matched their standards.
In 2017, Ekey pursued their vision to be instituted the ISO 9001 certification, the most prevalent standard in quality management. An ISO certification requires detailed audits and reviews of documents, proving consistency in quality standards. Ekey took this opportunity to orchestrate and transform its entire process management landscape. Taking to account that Ekey’s everyday operations deal with sensitive data, the transformation exercise was not only an important one; it was significant to alter how the company boost and improve efficiency and customer trust.
To reflect Ekey’s innovative stance and address the company’s unique and established requirements, FireStart first took a step back to re-look and re-examine the company’s processes, from HR and accounting to IT and management. Upon having a very clear picture of opportunities and improvement areas; we mapped, visualized, redesigned and automated the company’s entire landscape collaboratively with the client.
